Travel-time scenarios. The travel time of every road segment and direction is precomputed when the region is built and delivered with the data. This page only selects one of the available scenarios; it neither derives nor shows how they are calculated. Segments a truck cannot use are blocked.
The four highway checkboxes affect only whether those highway classes may connect a cell or fire station to
the network. They do not make the corresponding road itself undrivable.
Stations. Each station's time factor multiplies its travel time. A person counts for the
station that reaches them fastest after the factor. "≤ T" and "> T" split those people by arrival time. Every
station can be switched on or off without deleting it. Stations outside the region stay part of the
calculation but are drawn faded and grouped separately. Deleting a station asks for confirmation.
Charts. The chart button of a station (and of the whole set) shows inhabitants, drivable road km and
grid area by travel time, per minute or cumulative. The thick vertical line marks the maximum travel time.
"Station alone" counts everything the station can reach; "where it is the fastest" counts only what it wins
against the other active stations. Road km are attributed to the minute in which the nearer end of an edge is
reached. Only roads and cells inside the region are counted.
Export / import. CSV (semicolon separated, decimal point) and XML contain, per station, its position
(EPSG:3035 for real regions, local metres always), on/off, time factor and the key figures from the charts at
the chosen maximum time, plus a SET row with the totals of all active stations. "Distribution CSV" holds the
chart data per minute. Import reads CSV or XML by position and snaps stations to the nearest permitted
junction; you can replace or add to the current stations.
Map. Drag to pan; pinch, scroll or the + / − buttons zoom; a double-tap zooms in; ⤢ fits the region. On a phone the panel is a sheet over the map: drag its handle, or tap it to cycle through small, medium and large. Green to orange: within the limit. Red to purple: beyond it. Grey: no truck can get there. Faded
cells lie outside the region and are not counted. Minor roads, red traffic-signal dots and population numbers
appear when you zoom in.
